Ricoh GR III Diary Edition
Originally released as a limited edition run, the Ricoh GR III Diary Edition camera is now available for the everyman. Its embellished finish evokes a sense of premium quality whilst blending into daily life, making it the ideal street photography camera.
Treated with an exclusive metallic warm-grey finish the GR III’s textured surface is designed to enhance grip for all-day shooting as well as enhance the sense of quality. The rubber grip has a dark-brown finish to complement the warm-grey tones and, when mounted, the natural silver ring cap creates a sense of unity for the camera body.
As well as the high-quality camera features of the original GR III, the Diary Edition also features a new image-control mode. This control mode provides a negative-film finishing touch that balances rich colours with the somewhat discoloured prints that you would usually find from using negative film.
Another new feature for the Diary Edition is that when powered down the camera will display the number of images captured that day as well as the total number recorded. It will also show the firmware version against the textured power-down graphic with an emboss-type product logo.
Approximately 24.24 effective megapixels deliver high image quality, and an anti-aliasing filterless construction delivers high-definition rendering even in the finest details.
Original noise reduction processing results in high image quality even at high ISO sensitivity (maximum ISO 102,400). 14-bit RAW recording is also supported for rich tonal reproduction.
This imaging processor delivers further improvements in high image quality performance, elaborately detailed imaging across the entire sensitivity range, and superb colour reproduction.
Image plane phase-matching AF delivers high-speed autofocus while contrast-detection AF offers superb focusing precision. The best of these two types are combined to form a hybrid autofocus system.
This model uses the sensor-shift type Shake Reduction mechanism which delivers compensation on three axes for up to 4-steps.
The camera is equipped with an LCD monitor that supports touch operations and a convenient control dial. These features provide quick control over AF frame movement and menu access.
